One Hope Ministers at Winter Games
One ministry is spreading the gospel of Christ through word and deed during the ongoing Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
OneHope has created a Winter Games Book of Hope, a booklet designed for peer-to-peer use that features testimonies from Olympic athletes. The ministry has also joined forces with the Canadian Bible Society and More Than Gold, a youth ministry dedicated to showing the love of Christ through various acts of kindness.
Bob Hoskins, founder of OneHope, says the booklets, which also tell the story of the life of Christ, can have an eternal impact.
“We believe that God’s Word never returns void,” he explains. “So when a young person gives another young person a book that has answers to their greatest heartfelt needs, it engages them in reading the Word of God. And then we believe that the Word of God will do its own work in the hearts and lives of young people.”
The OneHope founder says 50,000 copies of the Book of Hope will be personally distributed during the Winter Olympics.
