Foundation Urges Protection for Pensacola Cross

Yesterday, the Foundation for Moral Law filed an amicus brief in the case of Kondrat’yev v. City of Pensacola, which is pending before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. In that case, a group of atheists and humanists sued the City of Pensacola after being offended at the presence of a cross in Bayview Park. The plaintiffs were represented by the Freedom From Religion Foundation and American Humanist Association. The trial judge reluctantly ordered the City to remove the cross, but the City appealed.

Australia Asks for International Prayer to Protect Marriage

Australia is in the middle of a government mandated postal survey to decide the future of marriage between a man and a woman. The polls are predicting a defeat for those who believe in the biblical definition of marriage. Australian Christians are asking for prayer from all over the world for a “miracle for marriage” in Australia. The ballots must be posted back by the end of October.

‘Satanist Group’ Fizzles in Tacoma School

Atheists masquerading as a so-called Satanist Temple group recently ended its after-school program at Point Defiance Elementary School in Tacoma. The After-School Satan Club ceased meeting soon after teachers from the Seattle Satanic Temple offered their first meeting in December 2016. Apparently, only one child joined the club.

Christian Doctors Cite Conflicts Similar to Creative Artists

The nation’s largest faith-based professional association of health professionals, the Christian Medical Association (CMA, www.cmda.org), contends in a legal brief filed with the Supreme Court that its members’ conscience battles parallel those of creative artists sued for declining to participate in proceedings inconsistent with their conscience and convictions.
