This Christmas season, the Thomas More Society continues to fight for freedom of religious speech and the free exercise of religious faith in the public square. Last Thursday in a historic vote, the U.S. Senate passed a reconciliation bill that guts major portions of Obamacare and bars Planned Parenthood from receiving Federal tax dollars in Medicaid reimbursements. This would effectively defund Planned Parenthood to the tune of nearly $500,000,000 each year. The final vote was 52-47.

Included are a director and five trustees. The backgrounds of these men are a youth pastor, a book store manager, a hotel manager, a computer company owner, a car salesman, and a commercial real estate broker.
Operation Rescue and the Christian Defense Coalition are denouncing the violence that appears to be in progress at a Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Billboards representing opposing sides of the abortion debate are popping up around Columbus, Ohio. Less than two blocks from the Columbus Planned Parenthood surgical abortion center, a new billboard reads, “Killing A Baby Is No Way To Plan Parenthood” pictured next to an eleven week fetus. While several miles away, an opposing billboard reads, “There’s Nothing Wrong With Abortion. Your Choice. Your Right.” The anti-abortion billboard was designed and funded by a group of abolitionists who view abortion as murder and seek to abolish it in the name of Jesus Christ. The pro-abortion billboard was funded by feminists. Both billboard projects were a grassroots effort funded by obviously passionate individuals.
