Westmore Church of God has entered into the second phase of Heritage Place at Legacy Retirement Village, a nonprofit, faith based retirement village. It is located in Cleveland, Tennessee on beautiful land formerly known as the Rolling Hills Golf Course.
“We are so excited about our relationship with Cornerstone Senior Developments, Inc.” stated Kelvin Page, senior pastor of Westmore. “With a continually growing senior population, we are looking for various ways to minister to seniors. By being relationally connected to Cornerstone, we can see opportunities for increased effectiveness in ministry. I personally can’t wait to see how this new community will develop into a thriving part of Cleveland and Bradley County.”
This exciting new retirement neighborhood is part of a master-planned development on the new Westmore Church of God campus. In March 2006 Westmore purchased the 175-acre former golf course. Heritage Place will occupy a portion of the property as part of the overall mission and vision for the campus.
Heritage Place offers highly functional, top-notch quality, yet affordable patio homes for the active senior. Each home and floor plan has been carefully designed to ensure a positive lifestyle in a low-maintenance home. The development includes 36 one-level patio homes and will be within walking distance of the future Westmore sanctuary. Home styles will include two and three bedroom floor plans. The development will also include wide sidewalks, streetlights and walking trails. Golf cart access will provide easy movement to the Westmore sanctuary, the lake, Candies Creek and many acres of green space.
“It has been our heart to see the Church of God offer a positive retirement environment for our active seniors.” commented Barry Ray, president of Cornerstone Senior Developments, Inc. “Heritage Place is the beginning of that dream.”
