A Church of God congregation in Georgia is seeking valentines cards for a teen who is battling a heart condition brought on by cancer treatment.
Erin McLeod is a 13 year-old girl who has battled bone caner for the last two years. Erin is now cancer free, however, the chemotherapy has destroyed her heart. She is now awaiting a heart for a transplant and cannot leave the hospital until this happens.
Erin attends the Conyers Church of God in Conyers, Ga. Her father, Daniel L. McLeod, Jr., is treasurer at the Conyers church and also holds credentials as an ordained bishop in the Church of God. Pastor of the Conyers church is Rev. Mark Hardgrove.
As a surprise to Erin, the local church announced that they would like for everyone who could to send a valentine card to Erin. Valentines should be sent to:
