A Missionary’s Testimony

After a two month ministry tour covering 17 states we are home for a much needed three week rest. Here’s a little summary of what God did in those eight weeks.

Our first stop was just a quick visit at the beautiful House of Prayer International in Monroe, Louisiana. Pastors Ron and Teresa Brown have been there for almost 20 years. The church is perfectly located right on Interstate 20. God is blessing this multi-cultural church.

Our next stop was Hurst, TX at the Life Fellowship Church of God where Bishop Darryl Crawford and his lovely wife, Ann have pastored there for 17 years. I ministered to nearly 70 women at a ladies event themed as High Heels, High Hopes and High Expectations. The fellowship hall was decorated to the hilt with high heels and had a great food buffet. The evening went well and we had one of those old fashioned prayer times at the end! Hallelujah!

Glen and I ministered the following Sunday to the congregation at Life Fellowship and we had another great altar service. We heard about one of the young ladies in the church that had been struck down with an illness that almost took her life. Ann and I went to visit her in the ICU. She was on a ventilator and the outcome looked bleak. Recently a video was uploaded on Facebook where she was testifying that after 90 days of not saying a word she is sitting up and talking. Hallelujah! He still works miracles today.

That evening we ministered at the Mountain View Church of God in Dallas, Texas with Pastors Russell and Alicia Dotson. Many were still reeling from an incredible concert by Jason Crabb the night before. The Mountain View church is in transition from their old facilities to another location that’s more accessible. It was great to spend a little time with them and West Coast Bible College’s music professor, Dan Petty and his wife.

After visiting with my folks for a few days we traveled to Tucson, Arizona and attended the state prayer conference hosted by Overseer Hal Thompson. It was great to get connected with pastors we’ve known and to make new acquaintances from around the state.

We visited some Armenian friends (Martirosians) in Fresno who remember Bishop Robert Fisher who pastored them in the 60’s in Fresno, California at the Temple Church of God.

In San Jose, we visited with Bishop Craig Green and his wife, Hazel (West Coast Bible College colleague) who pastor the Community Church of God. God is doing a new thing in their church and their ministry focus is becoming more relational with the people in the community than ever before.

Our last stop before heading to Portland was to visit another West Coast Bible College colleague in Eureka, Carol Pryor and her family. She testified while we were there that God had miraculously just given her another job. Isn’t God good!

Stay tuned for the rest of the summary next week.
