UGANDA — Pastor Emmanuel and I were recently on our way back to Uganda. While driving along, I saw a large mosque where Muslims were worshiping. I asked if we could stop to take some pictures. We got out of the car and started up the steps. At the top there was a man laid out praying, so we took off our shoes to show respect.
I wanted to see inside the mosque, but the door was locked. I looked inside the windows and saw about 70 men kneeling on their faces. As we turned to walk away, there was a Muslim man sitting at the top of the steps. I felt God say, “Go tell him I love him.” I walked over to him and kneeled down. I took his hand and said, “Yesu Akwagala” (meaning Jesus Loves You in Luganda). Then I said it in English, “Jesus Loves You.” I wanted to make sure he understood what I was saying. He looked at me kind of puzzled. He said, “I am a Muslim.” I told him that all he had to do is ask Jesus into his heart. He replied with, “May Allah bless you.”
During the time I was witnessing to the Muslim man, Pastor Emmanuel said He was interceding for me. He said he had never witnessed a Christian witnessing to a Muslim at their place of worship and I could have been stoned to death. I thank God He is my protector, and I was obedient.
God is awesome. I know a seed has been planted in that Muslim man’s heart. Please keep him in your prayers. I believe he will give his heart to Jesus and he will have a powerful testimony.
