A two-day seminar is being held September 17-18, 2012, at the New Hope Church in Kodak, Tennessee. The presentational and interactive dialogue between two notable Pentecostal leaders is free to anyone who desires to participate.
“Within the circles of Pentecostal churches there has been a lot of talk about what being Pentecostal looks like in the 21st century,” stated Tom Sterbens, host pastor of the event. “This is a unique opportunity to be in the same room and interacting with two leaders who represent two generations of Pentecostal leadership.”
Dr. Jack Hayford is founder and president of the King’s University in Los Angeles and former head of the Foursquare Church International. Dr. Mark Williams was just last month elected to the top post of general overseer for the Church of God. Both are well known in Pentecostal circles.
A brief overview of the schedule of events shows Hayford opening the conference on Monday night, September 17 with a 45-60 minute address. Tuesday will consist of two morning and two afternoon sessions with Hayford and Williams. According to Sterbens, during each of the four sessions Pastor Jack and Bishop Mark will give a 7-10 minute opening topical address that will follow with moderator-led dialogue and Q&A. At 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Williams will present an address titled, “A Continuing Pentecostal Heritage – What Guarantee?” Hayford will close the conference and lead prayer for the Church of God Executive Committee members in attendance.
Although the conference is no charge, registration is required to provide materials and hospitality. For more information, visit the website www.beingpentecostal.com [1]or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/beingpentecostal. [2]
