Petree Releases CD

SONGS FROM THE HEART.. could be the theme of Dr. Daryl Petree’s latest CD.

After being off the road for nearly a year and a half he began to wonder if he would ever be able to return to the evangelistic field. First in 2009 it was a battle with physical illness that restricted his ministry for 10 months and then in 2010 he was brutally attacked on the mission field in South America, he was stabbed, beaten severally and then robbed. After this, he was forced to take another four months off the road. During this time of recuperation he would face a series of traumatic events. He would loose his residence and most of his support. Dr. Petree simply refused to give up. He decided to do whatever it would take stay in evangelism and continue to do what he had been called to do.

Oddly enough, through these most difficult “storms” Dr. Petree would continue to write until over 50 new songs had been composed. “The songs kept flowing out of my heart like the water gushed from the rock after it had been struck by Moses in the wilderness. The Lord healed my broken heart by speaking to me through the songs”. Petree has written hundreds of songs all of which direct the listener to Jesus, but he has never had a project to attract so much attention as this latest recording.

This CD features some of the songs written during this time. Songs that speak directly to the heart of the listener, especially the souls broken and dealing with grief and heavy spiritual burdens. During the time of healing Dr. Petree would reach deep into his heart and reveal the brokenness one experiences when they have lost a child, physical strength, everything he owns, and is seeing his work in jeopardy. Songs titled: Tomorrow Will Be a Brand New Day, I’m Movin’ On.

Even before the project has been officially released it has already been featured on various TV program networks as well as radio programs across the country and in various countries around the world and has already resulted in a great number of souls converted. Keep an eye out for the project on ITUNES this fall and in local bookstores as well as www.darylpetree.com [1]
