Evangelical Ministry Expands

Pastor Don Swarthout, Board Chairman of Christians Reviving America’s Values announced today, CRAVE Ministries has formed a new Evangelistic Arm called “CRAVE Crusades.” The radio program known as “The Gospel Truth Center” has been changed to “CRAVE Presents The Gospel Truth.”

Pastor Danny Van Gundy, a CRAVE Board Member, has been promoted to Vice President of CRAVE and will lead the new arm of CRAVE Ministries known as “CRAVE Crusades.” Pastor Van Gundy is a Graduate of Valor Christian College in Columbus, Ohio.

From 2001 to 2006 Van Gundy had a severe drug addiction. “He was delivered from this when he surrendered his life completely to the Lord. Van Gundy’s progress as a Christian was unbelievable to everyone who knew about his life,” said Swarthout.

In his latest CRAVE Crusade Van Gundy drew a crowd in excess of 1,000; more than 100 responded for salvation. In a women’s jail this month, he had 70 women attend. All 70 answered the altar call by coming for salvation.

Van Gundy speaks one Saturday per month at the Ohio State University Hospital Center and one Saturday per month at the Mary Haven Detoxification Center, both at the request of the staff.

“In fact,” Swarthout said, “I myself was an alcoholic before becoming a Christian more than 25 years ago. My sobriety started with the help of the Lord and I also got over my resistance to God.

“Van Gundy is a tremendous addition to our team. I hope everyone will be able to hear his remarkable story of sobriety and the message of hope through Jesus Christ which he certainly brings,” Swarthout said.

On Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 2 PM, Van Gundy will speak at the Columbus Coal and Lime Company, 1150 Sullivant Avenue in Columbus, Ohio.
