Keynote Speakers Announced for 2014 General Assembly
The Church of God International Offices has released the three featured speakers during the upcoming 75th Church of God International General Assembly next year.
Slated for July 29 – August 1, 2014 in Orlando, Florida, the speakers include Joycelyn Barnett, Samuel Rodriguez and Mark Williams.
Barnett is an evangelist and ordained minister in the Church of God who heads Healing The Harvest Ministries. A graduate of the Church of God Ministerial Internship Program, she is known around the world for her teaching and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. She founded and pastored Rhema Word Ministries Church in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for 17 years before re-entering the field of evangelism on a full-time basis.
Rodriguez is recognized as one of the top leaders in the Hispanic Evangelical movement. The Wall St. Journal identified him as one of America’s seven most influential Hispanic leaders, while the San Francisco Chronicledescribed described him as one of the six leaders of the New Evangelical Leadership. As head of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, Rodriguez is one of America’s most influential spirit-filled Christian leaders in the political sphere. Rodriguez also serves as senior pastor of New Season Christian Worship Center in Sacramento, California.
Williams was elected to a four-year term as general overseer for the Church of God in 2012. Previously he served for four years as second assistant general overseer and prior to that as administrative bishop for the region of California/Nevada. He served for six years as a member of the International Executive Council and is well-known in Evangelical circles for his biblically-based preaching of the Word of God.
