Church of God World Missions Partners in Awards Ceremony
When America’s favorite gospel singers gather near Nashville on April 15 for the 2014 Absolutely Gospel Music Awards Celebration, Church of God World Missions will partner with the gospel singing website in sponsoring the event.
The presentation this year will take place at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, at River of Life Church, 598 Ridley Parkway, in Smyrna, and will be hosted by Karen Peck Gooch and Kelly Nelon Clark.
The Absolutely Gospel Music Awards are annual recognitions presented by the staff at AbsolutelyGospel.com. Each January, the staff decides upon the nominees in 20 music categories. In February, the readers of the site are invited to vote for their favorites in 12 categories. This is the thirteenth year the awards have been offered.
The awards are given in the context of performances by popular gospel singers. The participants this year include The Isaacs, Jeff and Sheri Easter, The Bowling Family, The Browders, Tribute Quartet, Sneed Family, Karen Peck and New River, The Nelons, Adam Crabb, The Freemans, Sisters, Beyond the Ashes, and others.
World Missions Director Dr. Tim Hill, a singer and songwriter, occasionally participates in gospel singing events. At the request of Deon Unthank, president of absolutelygospel.com, he is also a columnist for the gospel music website, preparing weekly devotional writings for subscribers.
Tickets for the event may be secured by contacting [email protected]. Artist Circle tickets cost $25 and reserved seating tickets are $10. General seating is open to the public if seats are available; but to ensure seating, tickets should be purchased.
