Church of God World Missions Announces Crisis Relief Campaign

Church of God World Missions announced yesterday the kick-off of a crisis relief campaign … Christ’s Birthday Offering 2014.

“Church of God World Missions never hesitates to respond to a crisis,” said Tim M. Hill, General Director at Church of God World Missions. “Where there is a storm, a flood, or an earthquake, we are there. Where there are hungry children and crying mothers, we are there.”

Crisis Relief Begins with Crisis Preparedness. World Missions has developed a means to give a gift worthy of honor for the birth of Jesus—the Christ’s Birthday Offering (CBO). These gifts are earmarked to provide an immediate response in the immediate hours following a devastating natural crisis.

“Each year, we ask hundreds of friends to give an offering in the amount of the year—$20.14 in 2014—so that response for basic necessities, clean water, shelter, and food, along with medicines, can be swiftly sent to those in need,” Hill continued. “Church of God World Missions never hesitates to respond to crisis,” said Hill. “No Reservations. No Hesitation. We Go.”

Crisis is Ongoing Right Now. Church of God World Missions is in West Africa with Pastor Moses Hart as he provides medical aid, food, and needed supplies during the Ebola outbreak. They are also in Nepal with Pastor Ram, erecting tents and moving people into temporary housing. World Mission is in Ukraine with Bishop Alexei Demidovich, repairing and rebuilding the orphanage in Slavyansk to provide safety for more than 30 children.

“To respond to all the crises needs knocking at our door right now requires no less than $1 million,” said Hill. “Church of God World Missions invites everyone to respond with an offering in the sum of the years: $20.14.”
