Drawing to Raise Funds for Angel’s of East Africa
Sam Childers, the inspiration for the 2011 movie, ‘Machine Gun Preacher’ starring Gerard Butler, announces the raffle of the motorcycle ridden by Butler in the movie to benefit Angels of East Africa (AOEA) dedicated to rescuing, restoring, and enabling children caught in the crossfire of rebel atrocities in South Sudan and Northern Uganda dating back to 1998 and still happening. Ticket purchasers can own a piece of movie magic and support the efforts of AOEA. Two chances to win with each ticket!
Sam is also donating his own custom bike in this event. Both motorcycles hold a special place in Sam’s heart. The Machine Gun Preacher Rat Bike, which was featured in the motion picture that chronicled Childers’ life and tireless work towards improving the lives of children in East Africa, was the same bike Gerard Butler rode in the movie. This bike is valued at $50,000 USD. Sam is also donating his personal bike, a 2003 Iron Horse Texas Chopper customized personally by Childers.
The bike drawing, running currently, will end on Saturday, June 27th at the Angels of East Africa U.S. Headquarters in Central City, Pennsylvania.
Only 5,000 tickets are to be made available for the opportunity to win either of the two bikes. Tickets can be purchased for $250 each by visiting www.machinegunpreacher.org or call 814-754-5702.
The public will get their first glance at both motorcycles and the chance to purchase tickets at the upcoming Piston Power Show, Friday March 20st to Sunday, March 22nd, 2015 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center Columbus, Ohio – Sam Childers will be in attendance to meet and greet fans on Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22.
