DOE Announces Social Media Emphasis, Weekly Bible Series
The Church of God Division of Education (DOE) is beginning a series on using social media in the local ministry. In hopes of promoting connectedness of ministries and members, the DOE plans to educate the upcoming leaders on the latest forms of communicative technology.
The Division of Education will cover a variety of topics, identifying the uses and benefits of social media platforms, instructional “how-to” articles, and the best way to reach an audience.
The first installment was sent out to students currently enrolled in the Ministerial Internship Program (MIP) and Calling and Ministry Studies (CAMS) on February 5, 2015.The articles can be found on the blog page of their website, www.cogdoe.org.
After beginning the blog series on social media in ministry, the Church of God DOE wanted to provide resources to readers. To supply content to churches and ministries connected with the Church of God Division of Education, the division is creating a graphic series to use on local church and ministry Facebook pages.
The Facebook Weekly Bible Series is a series of Bible verses related to a single topic. The graphics are made for ministries to share with their fans on Facebook for a number of days. The Church of God Division of Education makes, posts, then later distributes these graphics in a zip folder on their blog atwww.cogdoe.org.
