Positive Results in a Near Eastern Country
The only Church of God in a Near Eastern country, which has a rich New Testament history, is experiencing positive results for Christian churches from the political turnover.
New converts number 200 or more, but not all of them can attend services at the same time due to work schedules. The church has no problems with the police or the neighbors. More would attend, too, if the church facility had not collapsed—there is no money to reconstruct the building.
Lack of money poses a threat to the growth of the church, because the pastor of the main congregation cannot purchase gas to visit the cell prayer groups, and baptisms are limited since the people cannot afford the gas to get to the sea where the immersions take place.
While our missionary struggles with his personal funds and health issues, he is determined to retain the work in this vital area of New Testament significance. God is supplying the need, but much more is necessary.
Being the only Church of God in the entire country, the door is open for expansion. The opportunity must be seized, for now is the time!
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord” (Isaiah 54:17).
