2016 International Christian Film Festival
The 2016 International Christian Film Festival, scheduled for April 28-30, 2016 at the B Resort and Spa in Orlando, is set to be bigger, better and bolder than ever. This year, the organizers have stepped it up three notches. The event is set to bring about 2000 people from all over the world over the course of three days. The opening night film is from the two-time Grammy award winning Christian duo For King and Country called Priceless, a movie that centers on human trafficking.
This year Mr. Alex Kendrick will be honored with the “Lifetime Achievement Award.” Mr. Kendrick has produced some of the best Christian films to date including Facing the Giants, Fire Proof, Courageous and most recently War Room, a movie that centers around the power of prayer.
For the “Outstanding Woman in Film” award, Ms. Lisa Arnold will be the recipient. She is one of the producers of God’s Not Dead, This is Your Time and her latest movie Caged No More, a drama meant to engage and educate audiences on the realities of human trafficking.
Invited guests includes Stephen Baldwin, who participated in last year’s festival, Kevin Sorbo, David Nixon, Devon Franklin and many other industry actors, leaders and Pastors. The festival is a great opportunity to network with some of the top filmmakers from around the country and around the world. Learn from top industry professionals including Hollywood script consultant Linda Seger who will be doing two seminars on script writing.
With this event, there’s so much to learn, so many movies to watch and so many great people to meet. “What a wonderful experience with exciting filmmakers. The International Christian Film Festival is the only place to be for the world’s best Christian movies…the people you meet here in Orlando at this festival will be friends for a lifetime,” says Billy McAdams who won 1st place for “Best Feature Film” at the 2015 festival.
“We’re doing something extremely exciting this year,” Says Festival director Marty Jean-Louis. “We’re getting many producers, directors in one room and actors and actresses of all ages the have opportunity to showcase their God-given talents in front of these producers. Never before have I seen this done in any festival.”
“The ICFF was an absolute pleasure to attend, this was a well-organized festival. The closing award ceremony felt like you attended the Christian Oscars!” said producer Cliff McDowell, who also won top prize at the 2015 festival for the movie The Mask Saint. The event is set end with a red carpet and an award ceremony where 42 awards will be given.
