God’s Pit Crew Rebuilds Gatlinburg Home
One of Operation Compassion’s long term partners, God’s Pit Crew (GPC), is in the middle of a restoration program called Fire and Faith Project.
Fire and Faith Project is a house building project that grew from the initial response to the wildfires last November in Gatlinburg, TN.
Immediately following the fire, GPC responded to the survivors with tractor trailer loads of relief goods and supplies. From the beginning, Randy Johnson, president and founder, knew they had to do more with the rebuilding efforts. Thousands of homes and businesses were destroyed or severely damaged, leaving hundreds displaced from their homes and livelihoods.
The total budget for this home rebuild is approximately $120,000 which includes construction costs, food for volunteers and furnishings for the family. Currently, the home site has been cleared of fire debris, the footings are poured and the foundation has been laid. The walls are being constructed and everything for the project is on schedule. Except, the project is behind on the budget! GPC needs your help to complete this project on time. Join with GPC in making a difference in the lives of one family that lost everything in those horrific fires. Become a financial partner today! It is easy to give.
