Cleveland, TN–The Cleveland/Bradley County Cry Out America Task Force has announced the upcoming Cry Out America Prayer Gathering on Monday, September 11 from 6:15 to 8:00 p.m. at Greenway Park, located on Raider Drive. The inter-denominational gathering is being planned by representatives from the faith community, including the Church of God International Offices.

Leading worship will be Allie Miller, Paula Knipp, Unity Dance Troup, The Awakening Worship Band, Kaylee and Ericka Tuttle, and the Movement Dance Troup. Ted Gocke from Chattanooga’s J103 Christian radio, as well as local church leaders Toni Miles and Phil Griffin will team up to guide through the night of prayer.

In an effort to further capture the theme, local Christian artists will exhibit their artwork and Hannah Maggard will craft an original piece of art throughout the prayer gathering. Other participants will include WTNB’s Wendy Benton, local architect and visionary for Trek Thru Truth Douglas Caywood, Lee University’s Mark Vermillion and LaEsha Williams, Fellowship of Christian Atlete’s Robert Green and Pastor/Evangelist Judy Jacobs.

In case of inclement weather, the location will be Peerless Road Church of God of Prophecy.

Cry Out America is an annual prayer observance held on September 11. On this day, counties across America invite their communities and people of all faiths to pray for the nation. The observance was created in 2008 by the Awakening America Alliance and is now under the leadership of the National Day of Prayer National Task Force. Iris Ray, who heads the Bradley County, Tennessee task force stated that at both the national and local levels, the organization, “represents a Judeo-Christian expression of the national observance, based on the understanding that this country was birthed in prayer and in reverence for the God of the Bible.” The Bradley County Cry Out America Task Force consists of local pastors, prayer leaders and ministry leaders.
