Online Registration for Kidfest 2018 Now Open
Frontier Kidfest, sponsored by Church of God International Youth and Discipleship, is set for April 6-8. Online registration is now open for individuals and groups for the conference at the Westin Hotel in Irving, Texas that will attract hundreds of kids.
Frontier Kidfest is the first event of the 2017 Kidfest season. Children’s ministry leaders from churches in Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, South Central Hispanic Region, and the Heartland Region will take their groups for a weekend encounter with the Holy Spirit. The weekend includes four dynamic church services designed just for kids and geared to their liking.
“Kidfest is an awesome opportunity for children to enjoy uninhibited worship and praise, with hundreds of their peers, as they together proclaim to serve a God without limits,” stted Tony Lane, Coordinator of Children’s Ministries for the Church of God. “Every year, hundreds of boys and girls are filled with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit at Kidfest events around the country.”
Youth and Discipleship understands the need to target those between the ages of 4 and 14 and is doing everything possible to reach those within that “4/14 window.” Ministry to children has been a priority at Youth and Discipleship for many years and Kidfest has been a ministry of the department since its beginning in Texas in 2002. Kidfest has expanded to four locations in the United States since then, as well as influencing similar ministries internationally.
“Kidfest 2018 will be bigger and better than ever before! Lane continued. “With the theme, BREAKING THROUGH, each venue will focus on helping children understand the importance of breaking through any obstacle that would interfere with our relationship with Jesus Christ.” The guest speaker line-up includes a variety of people who love ministry to kids, including B-Shoc, The Lads, Omega Man, and many more. Remix will again be providing the pre-service programming.
Midwest Kidfest, April 20-22, will continue at the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, Ohio where the cost includes a 3-day admission to the indoor waterpark, as well as the four services. Space is limited. Carolina Kidfest, April 27-29, will once again be held at the Charlotte, N.C. Renaissance Suites Hotel. For the sixth consecutive year, Smoky Mountain Kidfest, May 4-6, will convene at the Gatlinburg Convention Center, an earlier site of Winterfest. At this location, each group may secure their own lodging. Lodging recommendations, registration, and rooming list forms are all available on the www.mykidfest.com website.
Winterfest has been ministering to students for 35 years, while Kidfest has been ministering to children for 15 years.
“Don’t wait until they’re old enough for Winterfest,” Lane concluded. “Take them to Kidfest now and reach them before they need rescuing!”
