Agree ’20 Prayer Event Begins
Cleveland, TN—The fourth annual New Year’s prayer event, Agree, began on Monday morning with a powerful message on prayer and “waiting on the Lord,” delivered by Loran Livingston, pastor of the Charlotte Central Church of God.
General Overseer Tim Hill opened the three-day prayer convocation to full house of International Offices employees, prayer delegates, and other guests. Following a time of praise and worship, Livingston took the podium where he delivered a message he shared he had been contemplating for 20 years. The powerful message was followed by a time of seeking God.
The first of three evening prayer events took place on Monday night where a steady stream of testimonies, interviews, music, and prayer took place from the studios at the Leadership and Communications Center. Musical guests were the Voices of Lee who presented an anointed medley of selections spread across the entire evening. Prayer was offered around the iconic four-foot high globe, a staple of the International Offices for decades. The live audience consisted of a variety of International Offices employees, retired ministers, and delegates who were participating in a special conference on prayer being conducted by Church of God Prayer Coordinator Doug Small. Hill and Small moderated the evening broadcast for two hours where thousands tuned in via livestream. Facebook Live comments came from around the globe, including India, Jamaica, and the Middle East. The Monday night service concluded with a gathering around a table where audience participants gathered around a large table spread with prayer requests received during the broadcast.
Agree ’20 continues through Wednesday night. The Tuesday 10:30 am EST chapel service included Evangelist Tony Suarez, and will be followed by Joey Rogers on Wednesday morning. Musical guest both mornings is Angela Primm. Viewers from around the world are invited to log in to the livestream at churchofgod.org or via Facebook Live (Church of God) and participate remotely. A toll-free number is available for comments and prayer requests and Facebook Live comments are encouraged.
