Two Facebook Live Events Set for Easter Weekend
As the world approaches the Easter weekend, most churches will be unable to stage special events or even hold traditional Easter services on Sunday, perhaps the most attended church service of the year.
To help fill the void, this Friday, April 10, General Overseer Tim Hill and his wife, Paula, will host a “Global Call to Prayer and Fasting,” a special Good Friday prayer observance celebrating the risen savior and offering continued prayer for our world amidst the coronavirus pandemic. The noon broadcast is part of the on-going #wepraycog initiative and can be accessed through Facebook Live by visiting Facebook.com/coghq at 12:00 pm Noon EST on Friday.
On Easter Sunday, April 12, churches are encouraged to celebrate the season that morning the best way possible in keeping with local guidelines. Then, that evening everyone is invited to join at 7:30 EST as Tim Hill will host and welcome an array of special guests during “Rise Again.” Joining Hill on-site will be live guests, guitarist Doyle Dykes and Danny Murray. To keep with social distancing requirements, greetings and performances by the Hoppers, Goodman Revival, and the Sisters will be by video.
