Church of God Helping to Reach Millions Through Israeli Radio Ministry
Galilee, Israel—Broadcasting from beautiful studios that sit on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, Voice of Hope Radio broadcasts into the countries of Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Cyprus, and Lebanon. Dr. Gary Hull, overseer for the Church of God in Israel and the Palestinian Authority Area, runs the ministry which reaches over 40 million Arabic listeners daily.
The station, broadcasting commercial-free on 1287 AM with 50,000 watts, from two studios and a production office, was founded three years ago through an unprecedented decision by the government of Israel and is the only Christian radio station in the Holy Land. Hull has been engaged in training Galilee’s best as witnesses to the Arabic-speaking world. Christian news is broadcast on Israel’s 24-hour English news television channel, which is available on satellite and internet. Planning is underway to expand Voice of Hope Radio into North Africa and Asia.

Earlier this year, during the Journey of Pentecost Tour to Israel, members of the Executive Committee joined the Voice of Hope radio broadcast in person at their studios, located in a multi-functional community center on the tranquil shores of the Sea of Galilee. Hull joined the Committee members where he conducted a live interview with General Overseer Tim Hill. The seven-minute message about the love of God was translated and broadcast to up to 30 million in the six neighboring Middle East nations. Following the interview, the Journey of Pentecost pilgrims conducted a worship service at an outdoor plaza of the community center.
Hull coordinates programing and recently added Just A Minute, a series of 60-second devotionals produced by Church of God Communications. Just A Minute can be found on Church of God social media channels and at churchofgod.org. It has also been promoted on the Forward in Faith radio broadcast and through Daystar television network.
