Four Denominations Unite in Resources Project
Cleveland, TN—Church of God Publications has announced that four Pentecostal denominations have partnered together to form One Accord Resources.
In a letter to pastors across the nation, David Ray, director of Church of God Publications, announced that, “the time has arrived to launch brand new student curriculum and a new unified effort to disciple the next generation. For the first time in history, the Church of God, Church of God of Prophecy, Pentecostal Holiness, and the Pentecostal Church of God denominations will join forces through One Accord Resources, utilizing the same student curriculum (toddler-high school), beginning in the Fall of 2020. We are proud to partner with like-minded Pentecostal denominations and churches through One Accord Resources.”
This curriculum provides several new benefits for both teachers and students. Some of the new features include lessons which allow students to focus, explore, and live out the scriptures; resource CDs for many age groups that feature teacher helps, modifications for special-needs children, age-appropriate songs, and downloadable activity pages; and a brand new curriculum (SEEN) for teens and young teens with digital downloads of supplemental material.
A 28-page sampler of the One Accord curriculum is available that explains the purpose, format, provides teacher tips, and contains full sample lessons for two age groups: Early Elementary and Young Teen/Teens. An available chart shows how One Accord items compare with Pathway’s current curriculum line, New Life, which can guide in the ordering process. The new curriculum can be viewed online at www.oneaccordresources.org.
“If churches are currently receiving a standing order, it is not necessary to do anything,” Ray stated. “We will gladly adjust orders, so churches receive everything they need to effectively teach students.” He went on to say that those who order curriculum from the local church can call to modify orders by phoning 800-553-8506 or via email at [email protected]. If emailing, please include church name, file number or account number and contact telephone number along with any adjustments desired.
“For continuity of the Biblical principles, it is important that teachers and students participate in the initial quarter of the curriculum since each quarter lays a foundation for Biblical literacy,” Ray concluded. “If you don’t participate in the standing order program, don’t forget to order your Fall curriculum early—giving sufficient time for teachers to review the new curriculum and be prepared to utilize all of its new features.”
