Two January Events Rescheduled
A communiqué from the Church of God Executive Committee has announced the shifting of dates of two Church of God events originally scheduled for next week.
According to the email, recent developments in the battle against COVID-19 in the state of Tennessee have prompted the International Offices to shift plans for the events. In cooperation with Tennessee Governor Bill Lee and out of an abundance of caution, the following changes were announced:
Agree ’21 – The annual prayer convocation has been rescheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, March 2 and 3. Everyone is invited to join with a number of special guests, including keynote speakers Jonathan Zeiglar and Jason Daughdrill. Agree ’21 will be broadcast via Facebook Live (@COGHQ) both evenings at 7:00 pm EST and originate from the International Offices Leadership and Communications Center with no live audience.
Global Minister’s Meeting – This virtual webinar has been moved from January 14 to Wednesday, February 17 at 2:00 p.m. It will be accessible via the denomination’s website (churchofgod.org) to allow as many ministers from around the globe to join in for this latest update on the ministries of the Church of God. General Overseer Tim Hill and the Executive Committee will lead the virtual meeting.
The email from the Executive Committee on Monday requested prayer for these events and for the upcoming meeting of the Church of God International Executive Council as they convene for their regularly-scheduled meeting beginning on January 26. To allow for proper distancing and other protocols, the Council Chambers at the International Offices will be temporarily relocated downstairs to the larger Conference Center with some of the members, including international delegates, participating via Zoom conference.
