‘Arise!’ Music Conference Set for March 4-6
Cleveland, TN–The Church of God International Offices, Spirit Sound Music Group, and Westmore Church of God are co-sponsoring a conference for worship leaders, pastors, musicians and creative art teams. The event is set to take place next week, March 4-6, 2021 at the new Westmore Church, located at 2440 Legacy Parkway in Cleveland, Tenn.
Steve Allen, conference host and music pastor at Westmore, reports that registration has been steady and spots are still available, but limited as the latest health and safety protocols are being observed.
“Registrants are excited about coming together for a music conference like this that has not happened in a while,” Allen said in referring to the former Music Explosion events sponsored by SpiritSound. “We will gather together for the common purpose to encourage, train, equip and fellowship, while lifting high the name of Jesus and expanding our growth in the various ways we lead His church.”
Keynote guests and session leaders will include Bradley and Holly Knight, worship leaders at Brooklyn Tabernacle in Brooklyn, N.Y.; Danny Murray and the Voices of Lee from Lee University; Dr. Brad Moffett and The Lee Singers from Lee University; Geron and Becky Davis, premier song writers and worship leaders; and Mark Harris, worship leader at Gateway Church and former member of the popular quartet 4Him.
Other workshop speakers will include Mark Blankenship, Mount Paran Church of God, Atlanta, GA; Erik Buxton– Fort Mill Church of God, Fort Mill, SC; Larry Kusic – Restoration Church, Jacksonville, FL; Phil Nitz – Christ Church, Nashville, TN; Ty Parker – Redemption Point Church, Chattanooga, TN; Jonathan and Christy Sawyer, First Assembly of God, Fort Myers, FL; Brian Shaw – Mt. Olive Ministries, Cleveland, TN; Todd Sturgell – Stevens Creek Church, Augusta, GA; Trey Tanner – First Baptist of Woodstock, Woodstock, GA; Forbes Talley – Princeton Church of God, Princeton, SC.
Among the workshop topics are Leading Worship, Adult Choir, Youth Choir, Children’s Choir, Youth Worship Team, Instrumental Techniques, Sound System Help, Social Media, Lights Camera Action, Spouse’s Role in Music Ministry, and Dealing with High Maintenance People.
Registration of $125 includes all three days of the conference, materials, and two meals. There are many great restaurants in Cleveland, and several recommended hotels located less than one mile from the church.
