‘Finding God in the Everyday’ Reveals How to Slow Down and Listen to the Lord
In her new book “Whisper: Finding God in the Everyday,” Danielle Bean guides readers on how to seek and find God’s voice, even in the busiest times of daily life.
Intimate and down-to-earth, “Whisper” encourages readers in all stages of life to experience the little “whispers” of God present in everyday moments, whether he speaks through relationships with others or within the challenges and trials faced in daily living.
“At one point in my life, I had eight kids under the age of twelve while working from home – the epitome of a chaotic life,” says Bean, brand manager at CatholicMom and host of Ascension’s “Girlfriends” Podcast. “I have more time now since they’re a bit older to notice God more, but I realize He’s always been there. I hope this book inspires others to look for God in their own stories and discover that He is ever-present and always ready to love us.”
Bean writes about real, heartfelt, and relatable moments in the warm tone of friends meeting for coffee. Bean assures her readers: the stress of constant striving after achievement can be relieved. The ability to do less with more intentionality will provide a growing awareness of God’s constant presence. That awareness in turn brings about an interior peace, even if one’s exterior life remains chaotic.
Bean includes an “Everyday Prayer” section with traditional and unique prayers alike, and an “Everyday Scripture” section to help readers reflect further on what they may be dealing with in their lives, such as “Seeing God in Pain” and “Seeking God in Stillness.”
“Danielle Bean has done it again! ‘Whisper: Finding God in the Everyday’ is an invitation to be everyday mystics, finding extraordinary encounters with God in our ordinary days,” says Kimberly Hahn, wife, mother, and author of “Chosen and Cherished: Biblical Wisdom for Your Marriage.”
