Amplify Conducts 20th Year Event
Chattanooga, TN—Amplify, a Winterfest for middle school-aged young people, reached its 20-year milestone as the Church of God community came together to celebrate the impact of this event on the weekend of February 9-11, 2024 at the Chattanooga Convention Center.
Amplify has been instrumental in shaping the lives of young people since 2004. Under the leadership of founders Dewayne and Mary Moree, the annual gathering has become a cornerstone of the Church of God’s youth ministry, providing a platform for spiritual growth, fellowship, and empowerment for middle school students. Speakers during the event included Josh Guyselman, Mary Moree, and Kyle Hinch. Music was led by Amplify Collective.
For two decades, Amplify Middle School Winterfest has brought together young people from across the country to experience a powerful combination of worship, teaching, and community. The event has served as a catalyst for spiritual awakening and personal transformation, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of attendees and creating a legacy of faith and discipleship.
According to Dewayne Moree, testimonies poured in from individuals whose lives had been forever changed by their experiences, highlighting the enduring influence of this gathering.
“The legacy of Amplify Middle School Winterfest continues to inspire hope and expectation for the future,” Dewayne stated. “As the Youth and Discipleship Department reflects on the past 20 years, they remain committed to nurturing the next generation of young leaders and providing a platform for them to encounter the love and truth of Jesus Christ.”
The 20th anniversary of Amplify serves as a poignant reminder of the power of faith, community, and dedicated leadership in transforming the lives of young people.
The Morees pass the baton of leadership to Zac Case with this year’s event. Case is lead pastor of Crossroads Community Church in Statesboro, GA.
“As Amplify looks to the future, it carries with it a rich heritage of impact and an unwavering commitment to empowering the next generation,” Dewayne concluded.
