Figueroa Named Director of PTS Center for Latino Studies
Cleveland, TN–At the recent Pentecostal Theological Seminary Board of Trustees meeting, Assistant Professor in Pastoral Ministry Dr. Miriam Figueroa was appointed Director of the PTS Center for Latino Studies.
Figueroa has a rich heritage in Pentecostal ministry serving in a variety of positions. She served as an educator in public and private schools in Puerto Rico, professor and Academic Dean of the Caribbean Theological Seminary, elected to the Puerto Rico Church of God National Council, and President of FIEL Brazil, an organization for Latin-American educators and leaders of the Church of God. Currently, she and her husband pastor the Community of Hope Church of God in Cleveland.
Dr. Figueroa is a Church of God ordained minister, teacher, pastor’s wife, mother, grandmother, and PTS alumna. She received her Bachelor of Education from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, M.A. in Ministry Leadership from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary, and Ph.D. in Practical Pastoral Theology from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico.
