Pentecostal Theological Seminary Sets Record Enrollment

Cleveland, TN–Dr. Michael L. Baker, President of the Pentecostal Theological Seminary (PTS), has announced the Church of God’s premier seminary set a new enrollment record during the 2024 fall semester. An all-time high of 559 students from 36 countries around the world was recorded as of this week.

PTS was founded by the Church of God in 1975 and will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year. During the past five decades, thousands of students have experienced the educational ministry of PTS and are serving in key ministry positions around the globe. PTS graduates serve in the full spectrum of ministry from pastors, administrative leadership, missionaries, chaplains, counselors and other roles vital to fulfillment of the Great Commission.

President Baker stated, “Men and women representing many denominational backgrounds have chosen PTS as the right place for their ministry higher education. Our commitment is to teach Pentecostal theology and doctrine in keeping with scripture and the Wesleyan Pentecostal paradigm as expressed in the Church of God Declaration of Faith.”

Baker went on to say “The entire PTS team celebrates this momentous achievement. We believe that PTS is ‘The Right Place!’ It is not the only place nor just a place; however, it may just be the right place for you!”
