Lewis Launches New Ministry Podcast
Cleveland, TN—Church of God General Overseer Dr. Gary Lewis has launched the first installment of a new podcast entitled, “Between Sundays,” offstage conversations about real life and ministry.
The podcast features Lewis as host joined by three prominent Church of God pastors as co-hosts who offer their take on pastoral ministry drawn from decades of combined leadership. Each episode will feature a guest pastor, church planter, or leader who will expound on their ministry journey offering unique and engaging perspectives.

One of the co-hosts is Loran Livingston who serves as senior pastor of the Central Church of God in Charlotte, North Carolina, a church he has pastored for 48 years taking it from a congregation of under 25 and growing it into a mega-church of over 6,000 members. Livingston’s sermons have also been featured on the Church of God’s Forward in Faith radio broadcast since 1990.
Also joining Lewis on Between Sundays is Mark L. Williams, third assistant general overseer. Williams contributes leadership knowledge based upon his service as a former general overseer for the Church of God (2012-2016) and years as a pastor at such prominent congregations as Riverhills in Tampa, Florida, and eight years at the iconic North Cleveland Church of God.
The inaugural episode entitled “The Calling, the Challenges, and the Journey” features David Cooper, another prominent pastor in the Church of God, who is also a co-host on the podcast. Lead pastor at Mount Paran Church in Atlanta, Cooper shares his experience of being involved with the congregation since his teens and eventually inheriting the pastoral role following the legendary leadership of Dr. Paul L. Walker. Cooper’s leadership has grown the congregation, hosted interdenominational events, and led building programs since becoming senior pastor in the late 1990s.
The podcast is set in a casual coffee shop atmosphere where the trust and respect between the four church leaders is reflected in their friendly banter and frequent storytelling. Guests feel comfortable in sharing their journey of church planting, pastoral challenges, and leadership principles.
Between Sundays released on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 10:00 am (EST) debuting on Church of God YouTube and Facebook (@COGHQ). It is also available on Apple and Spotify platforms, or wherever you download your favorite podcast. Please take a moment to subscribe. Subsequent episodes will be announced on social media, with expected release dates every two weeks. While most episodes are pre-recorded, there will be occasional live sessions, including one scheduled to originate from Dallas, Texas on April 5, 2025.
