Cleveland, TN– On behalf of the International Executive Committee of the Church of God, General Overseer Gary Lewis has released a statement announcing a series of leadership appointments that will be effective on August 1, 2025. The appointments impact several states and regions:
“With the upcoming retirement of Ron Martin, Administrative Bishop of Ohio, later this summer, the International Executive Committee has announced the following Administrative Bishop appointments, effective August 1:
• Ohio – Derwood Perkins
• Mississippi – Tommy Powell
• Michigan – David Kemp
• Illinois – Mike White
• Northern New England – Mitchell Corder (interim)
By announcing these appointments now, each state or region can celebrate and honor their departing state overseer during the upcoming Camp Meeting season. We believe that God has ordained each move and that the churches in each of these states and regions will prosper.”
