Christian Aid Mission, a Charlottesville-based non-profit, is in direct communication with the ministry leader and has fundraised for the ministry’s work since 2022. Along with assisting believers with their basic needs, the ministry oversees more than 4,100 house churches and trains Iranian Christians for ministry work.
Since the outbreak of war in Iran, believers are under tremendous psychological stress, with many families grieving missing or dead loved ones. “We have believers who have been killed,” the ministry leader said. “We have believers who have been arrested with Bibles and are fleeing the country. We have families struggling to feed themselves right now.”
Reports indicate that even obtaining simple food items such as pasta and tomato paste has become extremely difficult as prices have increased by as much as tenfold.
“Overall, what we have heard is not encouraging,” the ministry leader said. “We pray that God’s grace and mercy will be upon the people of Iran—especially the believers—so that these difficult circumstances may come to an end as soon as possible.”
Interviews with ministry staff are available upon request.
