Web Site Link Promotes Symposium

A new link on the Church of God Web site has been launched which gives detailed information on the upcoming Symposium on the Great Commission, scheduled for this September.

Two venues of the same event are scheduled for opposite sides of the country during the week of September 13, 2009. Symposium East will take place at Mt. Paran Church of God in Atlanta, Georgia on September 14 and 15, followed by Symposium West on September 16 and 17 at the Riverside Convention Center in Riverside, California. Schedules for the two-day events will mirror each other with a slightly different line-up of featured speakers.

Speaking at both east and west coast symposiums at the opening plenary will be internationally-known evangelist Reinhard Bonnke who’s Great Gospel Crusades throughout the continent of Africa and around the world have touched millions of lives. He is also founder of the international ministry of Christ for all Nations. Since the beginning of the new millennium approximately 44 million have responded to the gospel call under his ministry.

Leading off on Day Two of both events will be Niko Njotorahardjo of Indonesia, senior pastor of one of the largest Church of God congregations with 125,000 members. He is involved in “Healing Movement Ministry” having conducted more than 100 crusades in the past three years.

Highlighting the remainder of Day Two will be Pastor Loran Livingston in the east and Ana Díaz in the west. Livingston is senior pastor of the Central Church of God in Charlotte, N.C. Beginning with a dedicated group of 19 people in 1977, today the church has grown to its present membership of over 7,000. Ana Ruth Díaz is the founder and principal pastor of the Church of God Oasis of Love with more than 6,000 people attending each week. Located in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Díaz is a frequent international speaker to leadership, church growth and healing conferences.

A “resources” link relative to the symposium has several items which will assist a local church or individual to publicize the event. Included are professionally designed posters, letterhead and advertisements suitable for download and printing.

Four different ways to register for the symposium are located on the site and include by phone, fax, mail and online. Several methods of payment are accepted for the registration fee, which is $25 per person, $40 for couples and $10 for students. Retired ministers and widows may attend the symposium for free.
Finally the site contains full information on the venue locations and partner hotels with convenient links to the venues’ Web sites.
