Building a Place of Worship
Last month, missionary Harold Hanks hosted a work team to the country of Nicaragua. There were 12 men on the team, and the destination was Matagalpa, Nicaragua, a town of about 100,000 people, about 2 hours north of the capital, Managua.
Our mission was to build a new church on the outskirts of Matagalpa. The reason for the church was that one of the ladies of the Segunda Inglesia De Dios had a burden for the kids that were scavenging through the dump to find food and clothing. She began to minister to them by having Sunday School, and then by feeding as many as she could. The number of children began to grow larger and larger, so she began to not only teach them about Jesus, but also how to recycle the items in the dump. Now they can make extra money through this “business” which has been a great blessing to them and their families. This has sparked the interest of the children’s parents, and now they are coming to be ministered to.
They needed a place to worship and a place where they could feed the children. So Pastor Larry Hall of the Green Cove Springs Florida, Church of God, along with Harold Hanks and New Life Ministries, teamed up to make this possible. Please pray for Sister Ana as she continues this exciting ministry to these very needy children. We believe that future pastors, preachers, and evangelists are going to come from this church! Praise God!
