MIDDLE EAST — Before we closed the meeting we asked one young lady if she wanted to receive Jesus and she said “yes,” at which time I led her in the sinner’s prayer.
Our recent journey to the Middle East began as I was leaving customs and security at the airport. The man who was helping me with finding a rental car and carrying my bags, a former Muslim, identified himself as a believer who recently accepted Jesus. We exchanged names and phone numbers for future contact. Please remember him in your prayers. It is interesting how God uses us to nurture new believers wherever we go.
While in the Middle East we tried to have a Good Friday service when an unknown person interrupted our meeting with many religious and political questions as we were trying to serve the Lord’s Supper. In any case we had to shut the service down because we did not want make a scene and have the police called in. However, before we closed the meeting we asked one young lady if she wanted to receive Jesus and she said “yes,” at which time I led her in the sinner’s prayer. Her husband asked “Is my wife now a Christian?” I said yes because she seemed to be sincere and prayed as you and I did when we received Jesus into our hearts. We expect the husband to accept the Lord when we return to their home in a few weeks. Pray for him.
