Pentecostal Theological Seminary Sponsors Misssions Week

Cleveland, TN–The Pentecostal Theological Seminary recently hosted its annual Missions Week April 20-22. The theme this year was Heritage and Horizons with all proceeds going to assist students at the Haitian Bible Seminary.

Because of the catastrophe that has resulted from the Haiti earthquake, Haitian students are unable to fund the completion of their year in the Bible school. School officials indicate it will cost $210 each to finish out the school year. The Pentecostal Theological Seminary wishes to reach out to a fellow Bible school by helping these Haitian students.

On April 20, Douglas LeRoy, Director of World Missions, brought a message to the students of the seminary. He shared how God has called us all to be involved in missions – first by responding to the call of salvation, second with a call to holiness, and third with a call to minister the Word. “God speaks to people when they are worshiping and responding to Him,” says LeRoy. “God speaks in a variety of ways, but it is the assurance in your heart that says you are in His will.”

A lively Hispanic worship team began the chapel service on April 22, followed by Victor Pagan, Assistant Director to World Missions, sharing the Word. Pagan shared how God is moving the mission field of Latin America into a missions force. “God is calling Latinos to go to all nations and spread the gospel,” says Pagan. Many World Missions missionaries are coming from Latin American nations who are taking the Gospel they so desperately love to nations around the world. Each of these missionaries are being supported by their own countries.

World Missions appeals to those who love missions and value Biblical education to step up to pay the costs of these students. The project number for Haiti Bible School students is 152-9021 .
