ROMANIA — The items that some wanted to throw away are now used as benches in churches, beams and wood for a new roof on the addition to their church and various other things.
The Church of God Chaplaincy and Care Center is almost complete in Oradea, Romania. As with any building project, you have materials left at the end of your construction. Wood used for the forms in concrete, beams for the ceilings etc. The construction crew wanted to discard these items, and there were quite a few. But we had a better idea. I knew of a Roma (gypsy) church that was adding on to the house they use as their worship facility, they had outgrown what they had, and they simply did not have the funds to get the materials they needed.
So we contacted the people from the church and they came to our facility and collected two dump trucks full of used, but good materials. The items that some wanted to throw away are now used as benches in churches, beams and wood for a new roof on the addition to their church and various other things.
God is so good and He always makes a way. Just think, those of you who have contributed to the construction of the Church of God Chaplaincy and Care Center have also contributed to the construction of a church, and benches for several other churches. Praise the Lord!
