ROMANIA — We know this is just the start of what the Lord will do. We also know this is going to be a ministry that makes a difference in our large community.
The first service of our new church began on the January 16th with approximately 50 people in attendance. We decided to go with a western approach to our services, and people seemed to be open to that. We had some that were merely there to observe, and some that were very appreciative of this type of ministry.
We know this is just the start of what the Lord will do, and we know we will have an up and down attendance for some time as the people come and go. But, we also know this is going to be a ministry that makes a difference in our large community. Pray for us – we have many needs, but a big God.
Our focus will be on “being the church God wants us to be.” I know that is a broad statement, but we are beginning our meetings with looking at the seven letters to the churches found in Revelation 2, and studying the good and the bad things Jesus had to say about these churches. We are also focusing on “going beyond the gates,” being a church that does not confine its ministries to the wall of the church, but gets involved with the needs of the city around us.
