KIDFEST 2011:GC Kids Follow Jesus
For eleven years, Youth and Discipleship has sponsored and coordinated Kidfest events in several locations. This spring, four Kidfest events have been held. Thousands of children, parents, chaperons and children’s ministry leaders have attended Kidfests held in Irving, Texas; Charlotte, North Carolina; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Hundreds have been filled with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is incredible to see what God is doing in the lives of these children as they hunger for God’s Spirit to reside in them. Surely it is an evidence of the last days prophecy which states that in the last days He will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh and our sons and daughters will prophecy!
One more event of the Kidfest 2011 season is still to come. For the second year, Emerald Coast Kidfest will be held at the Emerald Coast Convention Center in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. Hundreds are anticipated to attend this weekend event on October 21-23. The weekend will include four dynamic kids services throughout the weekend, providing much of the daytime on Saturday for the groups to enjoy time on the beach or at a variety of recreational spots throughout the area. The ministry team for the weekend includes Marcus Abernethy and Kidz Dominion, The Lads, and Burnin’ Bush. It will be an action packed weekend!
