More than a century ago, an actual Civil War soldier wrote heartfelt secrets to the woman he loved. In his letter, the soldier asked that this woman take his written message:

Starting this Friday, September 8, the Church of God Women’s Ministries department will hold a series of regional one-night rallies across the country, entitled “Faith Fire Freedom” Celebrations. The first of the gatherings will be held at Potter’s House Church in Columbus, Ohio, starting at 7:00 p.m.

The Thursday night Hurricane projections were dire. The eye of Harvey was focused on Corpus Christi. Leaders and residents prepared for the worst. Prayer was the only hope. City officials and pastors united across the area, crying out for God’s mercy and for God to rebuke the storm. Then, in the predawn hours prior to landfall on Friday, Harvey miraculously turned westward. Corpus Christi had minimal damage, no deaths or reported injuries. Prayers had been answered.

Renowned evangelist and author, Jennifer Wilde, heard God saying “Now is the time” to act upon a vision she received 37 years ago. One God – One Day – One Africa (1GDA) was born as a ministry to fulfill God’s desire to reach out to every possible country in Africa in May 2019 – and every church and ministry can be part of this.
