SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS–The Church of God Chaplain’s Commission held their bi-ennial conference recognizing and honoring military and institutional chaplains on August 2-4 at the Hilton Palacio Del Rio. As part of the celebration, two landmark dates were celebrated: 50 years since the Church of God commissioned its first chaplain and 30 years since the founding the Chaplains Commission.

Missionaries from around the world came with anticipation. “We are so excited to be here,” many missionaries said as they arrived at the Hyatt Regency in downtown San Antonio.

America’s National Prayer Committee has released the 592-page book titled Giving Ourselves to Prayer: An Acts 6:4 Primer for Ministry. The book was compiled after ministry officials became alarmed at what they perceived as a lack of education and practical application of prayer for ministerial students and pastors.

Lee University was recently accepted into the Guide to Service Learning Colleges and Universities, published by the Student Horizons’ National Advisory Board.
