I despise airplane turbulence. Even though I enjoy high-speed roller coasters, there is something about hurling through stormy skies in a commercial jetliner at 37,000 feet that turns my knuckles white. This is why I always ask for a window seat. Whenever we hit rough air and the seat belt sign flashes on, I feel safer if I can look outside.

Church of God World Missions leadership and the World Missions board recently appointed Dr. Marc A. Morris as interim president of the Asian Seminary of Christian Ministries (ASCM). Morris, who had already been serving as chairman of the board since July 2017, was appointed to serve in this new role until the 2020 Church of God International General Assembly.

Tulsa, OK – Christian believers and leaders from the Spirit-empowered movement from around the world will gather June 5-7, 2019 in Bogotá, Colombia for Empowered21’s Latin America Congress. The congress was originally planned for Guatemala City at Casa de Dios but due to recent developments between the church and the Guatemalan government the E21 Global Council Executive Work Group unanimously approved moving the Congress to Bogotá, Colombia in a recent meeting.

The award-winning children’s book, The Sparkle Box: A Gift with the Power to Change Christmas, has sparked a movement to put the focus on the true meaning of Christmas by giving a gift to Jesus on His birthday. In a show of support, Worthy Publishing, the book’s publisher, did something unprecedented in the traditional world of children’s book publishing: it made The Sparkle Box available to read online for free through December 31, 2018.

Nearly 30 years has passed since the first senior adult retreat for the Church of God was held in the mountains of East Tennessee. Since then the event for retired ministers, widows, and senior adults has grown to become an anticipated gathering with fellowship, worship, and an abundance of talent.
