Last week, a guy named “Jake” asked me to pray for him after I taught at a ministry school in a northeastern state. He is only 22—and he wants to serve Jesus with all his heart. But he struggles daily because he has experienced a level of sexual bondage that was probably not even possible a few decades ago.

The Foundation for Moral Law, an Alabama legal defense organization dedicated to the defense of constitutional rights and traditional values, announced its support for Mississippi’s governor and his recent signature on Mississippi’s religious freedom bill. Kayla Moore, president of the Foundation for Moral Law, wrote to Governor Bryant:

The National Day of Prayer is not just a vital part of America’s heritage, but is as relevant and critical today as it was at the first call by our Continental Congress in 1775. Established in public law by a joint resolution of Congress signed by President Truman in 1952, then amended to designate the day under the 100th Congress and President Reagan in 1988, it states that “The President shall issue each year a proclamation designating the first Thursday in May as a National Day of Prayer on which the people of the United States may turn to God in prayer and meditation at churches, in groups and as individuals.”

The partnership of Azusafest and Azusanow will culminate on Sunday, April 10 at the closing ceremony on the property where it all began. The Azusafest celebration is a pre and post event to the Azusanow 2016 celebration in the Los Angeles coliseum on April 9.

More than a thousand have already preregistered for the 26th annual Church of God Senior Adult Retreat, the Smoky Mountain Jubilee. As it has been for the past 23 years, the retreat will be conducted at the Gatlinburg Convention Center in downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee, one of America’s favorite Smoky Mountain vacation destinations.

Members of the families of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and historical author Alex Haley will participate in a “repentance, sanctification and racial reconciliation” event during United Cry DC16 on April 9, 2016 at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. Citing Amos 5:24, members of the Alex Haley and King families will take part in a special “foot washing and mantle passing ceremony.”

It may be a generalization to say the church today has three generational expressions, but I think we can work with it. You can walk into most churches and recognize quickly what generation it falls into.
