Middle Tennessee is commemorating the 15th anniversary of 9-11 with a major event at Bridgestone Arena called Give Thanks. This one-of-a-kind event is designed to give people from all walks of life the opportunity to stand up and give thanks to God for the hope, revitalization and coming together He continues to bring to America.
Care Net, a nonprofit ministry that supports one of the nation’s largest network of pregnancy centers, kicked off its 33rd annual conference this morning at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort. The conference is the nation’s largest yearly gathering of pregnancy center and church leaders and, this year, is ground zero for transforming the pro-life movement into the “pro abundant life” movement.
Dr. Grant McClung, president of Missions Resource Group, is scheduled as a plenary speaker to the World Missions Leaders Forum during the 24th Pentecostal World Conference, scheduled to convene in Sao Paulo, Brazil from September 7 – 10. The international conference, meeting triennially since 1947, will convene under the interdenominational umbrella of the Pentecostal World Fellowship (PWF).
Delegates from 86 nations gathered in Malang, Indonesia, in August, for the third triennial Congress of Nations sponsored by Evangelism Explosion International, a global outreach that trains people to share their faith in Jesus Christ.
The 2016 NWLC training season kicked off with great success, May 18-19 in Centreville, VA and continued July 27-28 in San Antonio, Texas. The National Worship Leader Conference is ready to partner with Westside Family Church in Lenexa, Kansas, to further champion sung prayer and offer premier leadership training to worship leaders and their teams, designed to transform lives and inspire ministry.
As a people of faith, many followers of Christ would love to see prayer become part of our schools in America again. But I would suggest we first bring prayer back into the churches of America. The vast majority of churches in America give more time in their worship services to promoting their next event than they give to practicing prayer.
