Bishop Chen Yung-Chia (Mark Chen), who served as Church of God representative to Taiwan from 1984 to 2008, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at the age of 88. He was the founder of the Church of God in Taiwan, having continued to build 11 church buildings in mainland China (his homeland) from the church base in Taichung.

Operation Compassion continues delivering much needed disaster relief supplies to the survivors of Hurricane Harvey throughout the Houston area and beyond. With 18 disaster relief sites active across the Houston metro area, eight warehouse sites receiving semi-trailers and delivering to other areas in smaller trucks, pick-up trucks and trailers and 10 church sites receiving loads for local distribution. Operation Compassion has delivered or scheduled 34 trucks during the first week following Hurricane Harvey’s landfall. In addition, there are 71 trucks staged and ready for delivery.
In anticipation of the Church of God International General Assembly in 2018, this notification serves to communicate the process for the submission of items for consideration and possible placement on the International General Council Agenda.
