January 13, 2015 – Church of God leaders, including all five members of the Executive Committee, gathered in the World Missions board room for the formal announcement of an intentional focus on Church of God missionaries.
Last Friday night, hundreds participated in the first night of the 21-day Virtual Prayer Meeting sponsored by Church of God prayer ministries.
Sevierville, TN—Parkway Church of God, one of the denomination’s more historic congregations, finalized the purchase of a new church campus located on Dolly Parton Parkway in Sevierville, Tennessee on Tuesday, December 30, 2014. The property is located adjacent to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge Airport and the Tennessee Museum of Aviation.
Church of God Communications has released a new downloadable “app” for smartphones which will offer several innovative features for churches, pastors, and laypersons.
For ten weeks in 1964 a Pioneers for Christ summer witnessing team from what was then Lee College, “invaded” Hawaii with the gospel. Almost 10,000 homes were visited, 15,000 tracts distributed, 56 services conducted, and three daily Vacation Bible Schools held. Fifty-six people were saved and 141 new people were gained for the church.
Sevierville, TN–Management of Swaggerty Sausage Company, Inc. of Kodak, Tennessee, recently chose the Church of God’s Smoky Mountain Children’s Home to receive a financial blessing for the Christmas season.
