ANAHEIM, Calif. — Douglas E. Clay is the new general superintendent-elect of the U.S. Assemblies of God, elected Wednesday afternoon subsequent to George O. Wood, who has held the post for 10 years, withdrawing his name from contention.
Anaheim, Calif.–Douglas E. Clay was voted general superintendent of the General Council of the Assemblies of God USA on Wednesday in a stunning vote after former General Superintendent George O. Wood removed his name from the ballot. Clay previously served as general treasurer for the General Council of the Assemblies of God (AG).
