The couple, who have written hymns sung by an estimated 40-50 million people in church services each year, echo Martin Luther’s challenge to view congregational singing not simply as an innovation, but rather a return to the Bible and the biblical practices followed well by the prophets and the ancient Church fathers.

Anaheim, Calif.–Douglas E. Clay was voted general superintendent of the General Council of the Assemblies of God USA on Wednesday in a stunning vote after former General Superintendent George O. Wood removed his name from the ballot. Clay previously served as general treasurer for the General Council of the Assemblies of God (AG).
A wake-up call to sleepy churches has gone out from missions agency TMS Global, which wants to help revive inward-focused congregations through revitalized faith.
Non-white churches and workers have long been underrepresented in mainline denominations in missions, but one agency is doing all that it can to help change that.
