Church of God in Christ’s presiding bishop, Charles Blake, instated Charles Patterson Sr. this fall to pastor historic Pentecostal Temple Institutional Church.
This fall Charles Patterson Sr. took over the reigns of historic Pentecostal Temple Institutional Church after his father, the late J.O. Patterson Jr. passed away this summer. The 34-year-old has already hit the ground running and has seen attendance double since he began pastoring the Memphis, Tenn., church.
Bethany and Matthew Sytsema’s newborn baby has yet to understand the meaning of “home sweet home.” That is because the Sytsema family along with hundreds of other Manville, NJ households still do not have homes to live in since the carnage brought by the recent Hurricane Irene. On October 1, 2011 in Scottsdale, Arizona, the memberships of CrossGlobal Link (formerly IFMA) and The Mission Exchange (formerly EFMA) agreed to merge, forming a body representative of 35,000 evangelical missionaries deployed in every country by more than 190 agencies and churches.
