Church Introduces Program to Develop New Online Churches
In what is believed to be the first program of its kind to help spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, Community Bible Church (CBC) launched the free Online Church Leaders training platform today to support the creation of online churches. Anyone interested in participating can register at onlinechurchleaders.com.
CBC has partnered with a number of other churches across the country – including LifeChurch.tv, Saddleback, Seacoast and Lake Pointe – to develop the 10-session online program:
1.Building Your Platform
2.Creating Your Content
3.Attracting Your Crowd
4.Engaging Your Audience
5.Developing a Volunteer Team
6.Following Up with Guests
7.Communicating With Your Community
8.Connecting People in Groups
9.Online Giving
10. Measure and Adjust
Organizers have a goal of helping to launch 500 online churches over the next two years, with each online church averaging at least 2,000 weekly attendees — adding up to one million participants worldwide each week.
The CBC’s own online church has been embraced worldwide, with an estimated 15,000 followers from more than 150 countries participating in services each week. The CBC online church is also extraordinarily popular on social media channels, with more than 476,000 Facebook ‘likes’ and more than 18,100 followers of the online church Twitter page.
“Technology is a powerful way to deliver the Word of God and touch people worldwide. We want to help others learn from our experiences at CBC and easily access the information to launch their own online church,” CBC Innovation Pastor Nils Smith said. “Many assume that it takes a lot of time and money to launch an online church, but that is simply not the case. Step-by-step, Online Church Leaders illustrates just how easy it is to connect people around the world in real time. Together, we can expand ministry and encourage others on a global scale to live in peace with God.”
